Why does my H burner on my grill not light properly?

I just bought a new H burner and regulator assembly for my 2 burner grill. After connecting everything up I can't get both sides to stay lit and produce enough heat to cook on. So, I took it back and got a 2nd one of each and it still happened.

When I turn down the left side burner the right side heats up nice. When I turn down the right side the left side heats up nice. But when both sides are turned up, the burner just flickers and sputters, and no heat of any kind is produced.

I've taken off the burner and checked the valves to see if gas is coming out both of them, and they both work fine. I even lit both sides and no sputtering, just straight flames out of both sides. Also, I am using a brand new propane tank that is full.

Can anyone help me with this? I'm suppose to be grilling out tomorrow for about 12 people, and I have no idea why this is happening. Thanks!

Have you tried adjusting the carburetors?

It's the collar with the hole that is on the gas line between the knob and the burners.

Turn them to lessen or increase the gas air mixture.
