I need some advice on cleaning a barbecue secret stainless steel cover?

I added a FireMagic Regal BBQ II. The thing is big enough and everything is stainless steel. To clean the bell, I usually use spray furniture (which is oil based and really works well). The front of the bell does not receive too many places. However, the cover (w / controls) had drops of fat black. I can easily remove the cover, if necessary. The varnish does not work that well furnuture to remove stains, so I need suggestions to super bright front plate w / using an abrasive. I live in southern Californial. Thank you. I had about this issue open, because There were so many good ideas. I tried the vinegar idea. This effectively clean, so if you apply a lot of elbow grease. However, if you saw the size of my grill so I can spend hours and hours. I'll keep trying all the suggestions. Thanks Thanks for the great responses.
